Last Chance — The Door Closes Sunday!

The Orange Door Project campaign is The Home Depot Canada’s national fundraising campaign that is committed to preventing and helping to end youth homelessness. The Home Depot Canada Foundation is a charity committed to preventing and ending youth homelessness in Canada. The Foundation works to remove systemic barriers that youth face and fosters healthy pathways for change. To create new paths for youth experiencing homelessness, The Home Depot Canada Foundation is investing $125 million by 2030.

This fundraising campaign takes place online and in-store and supports local youth-serving charities across Canada.

We are honoured that both the Cambie Street and Terminal Avenue locations of The Home Depot have chosen Covenant House Vancouver as the recipient of all funds raised through this campaign.

All donations made at either of the two Vancouver Home Depot locations, or online, will go directly to Covenant House Vancouver to help us serve youth in our community — but this campaign ends this Sunday!

Mark, Corporate and Community Giving Philanthropy Officer at Covenant House, visited the Terminal location of The Home Depot to let employees know more about the charity that they’re supporting. Mark gave two presentations, and answered questions that employees had about Covenant House.

Mark also gave a tour of Covenant House’s 1280 Seymour Street location to a small team from Home Depot. The team wanted to get a good sense of our programs and services so that they could help their staff understand the importance of the Orange Door campaign. The customer experience manager requested Mark’s slide deck so that he could share Mark’s presentation to employees who weren’t in the store the day that Mark visited.

It’s not too late to support the Orange Door Project

The Orange Door Project ends this Sunday, but there is still time to donate.

Donations at the Cambie Street (2388 Cambie Street) and Terminal Avenue (900 Terminal Avenue) locations can be made at the till, when you have completed your shopping experience.

If you prefer to make a secure, online donation, you can do so by clicking on this hyperlink.

Regardless of which method that you choose, your support will go a long way in helping youth exit the street and work towards a future that they deserve.

Covenant House Vancouver would like to thank The Home Depot Canada Foundation and its Vancouver locations for their support in working towards ending youth homelessness, and to all of you who see and support vulnerable youth in our community.
